Yong Mama’s story began in 2000 when Madam Chua Siew Yong came across some shrimp chips while selling homemade cookies and pastries in her neighbourhood. She and her husband soon developed a small business selling their delicious prawn murukus with only one wok and a spatula.

Today, their small business has grown into Yong Mama Food Industries, a leading snack and confectionery manufacturer in Malaysia, offering products and services to local and international customers.

● We established Yong Mama Bakery in Ipoh.
● We moved to a shop lot and began distributing our products nationwide.

● Our premises were certified according to MeSTI compliance.

● We established Yong Mama Food Industries in Ipoh.
● We moved into a light industry link factory and started providing OEM services.

● We ventured into international export markets.
● Our premises were certified according to Halal compliance.

● We established Yong Mama Food Industries in Shah Alam in an 8,000 sq. ft. factory with facilities that adhere to strict food safety standards.
